My developer story
My first experience with programming was in my degree with a few modules in C++.
I instantly loved the logical way of thinking, and enjoyed the creativity that you can apply to writing
code.
After finishing my degree I bought a C# book which I worked through before getting my first job.
Over my 6 years in the industry so far I have grown a lot as a person, and in my technical abilities.
I've had some brilliant role models over the years who have taught me so much in all aspects of what it
means to be a developer,
and so my goal is always to be that person for others.
Dev experience
- 6 years predominantly working with dotnet (C#) and Angular.
- Recent technical work has been focused on migrating services from net framework to net 6.
- Experienced in REST, OOP and microservice architecture.
- I have a keen interest in automated testing. I'm experimenting with different test frameworks in
my own time.
- Good understanding of the inner workings of Git, so am competent with resolving git pickles!
- I've created and run kata sessions for others.
- I pair/mob and help others wherever I can. I see it as part of the role of being a developer.
- I regularly analyse business requirements, come up with technical solutions and create features
&
user stories.
- I create and present demos for POs.. and I enjoy doing it!
- Experience with the Agile environment and Azure DevOps to manage work.
- I've helped out with running developer interviews, focused on the technical exercise.
